Building off of the instrumental drone solemnity and post-metal priming already established on The Lightbearer, Antifragile, whose music is made in collaboration with the duo Eye Contakt (Autry Fulbright and Mark Pagly) represents a transmutation and embodiment of virtual collaboration; there is feedback and feedforward through the creative realization of new modes of expression that the brooding Ram’s skull-adorned character engenders. As Fulbright explains,
“Ever since since I first saw the being, I wanted to really dig-in to what emotions were being conveyed in the artwork. What did the being feel? What was it feeling at the time? How was if informed by past experiences? … and the story started unfolding in my mind to create something that was as dynamic as possible while still having this theme of sadness and darkness.”
SB-EXE-002 is the first release in the Spirit Bomb catalog. Released on 12 February 2021.
